I work with research and data about films and television as well as being a World Heritage Site hunter, Pompey fan, former Erasmus student, whilst attempting to be a dad
Getting to the heart of the periphery,

But the Johan Cruyff Arena is a handy Park + Ride location for people coming in from the South/ West. I can’t pretend I wasn’t exceptionally excited to charge my car under the corner flag.

It turns out Glass Onion was a documentary!

I have just watched this for the first time, it was wonderful

Apologies for the unsolicited advice, but if you fancy a cocktail or similar in some very Barragan surroundings then I really recommend Camino Real Polanco

Also visiting his house too

Enjoy CDMX it is brilliant!

Of course it was just an oversight, so I went to check that they had changed it, but couldn’t find it.

Of course it is under the UK news section, so as you were.

I just checked, and they have changed the headline, but impressively have managed to put it in the UK news section

It must be pure trolling

Hamnet

Finishing as I started, with tears streaming.

Paul Mescal is great, but the film belongs to Chloe Zhao and Jessie Buckley.

They make a film that is nominally about the son of a famous man, and make it an ode to the feminine

I hope both feature heavily come awards season

Wake Up Dead Man

I’m a huge fan of Knives Out and this is the most engaging whodunnit in the series.

Josh O’Connor is magnificent, and whilst it isn’t as funny as the other two instalments there are still more laughs than most full comedies

Saipan

A film precision engineered to appeal to me (a World Cup obsessed, football fan that lived in Ireland in the mid 2000s) and I really enjoyed it.

Perhaps the end feels a little light, but I just really enjoyed it.

Great and fully convincing performances to boot.

Ish

Ah the joy of seeing a premier in amongst the cast and crew.

A really enjoyable film and the soundtrack, composed by the director really stood out.

The performances by the young amateur cast were amazing, not just because they were sat 3 seats over in immaculate tuxedos

I think my expectations were a little too high, and after half an hour I really didn’t like it.

Then roughly when Imelda Staunton turns up the stylistic decisions made more sense and I warmed to it more.

I think in the end I liked it, even if I was a little disappointed

The Voice of Hind Rajab

If I see a better film at the festival this year, then it will have to be incredible.

A truly powerful docudrama of a really brutal situation in an urgent situation

It left me (and many others) in tears, recalling the most affective works of Paul Greengrass

Oh I am 10 days late to this, but I like a challenge, so why not

A song a day, from an EU country by order of accession

I fear there may be a bit of leaning on Eurovision but hey ho, let’s learn some new music as well

Thanks @66marck.bsky.social for the idea

Whelp, I couldn’t find a gif of Alan Carr walking down the corridor so I made one.

Why is it just so innately funny?

The Ballad of Wallis Island really is fantastic.
Literally made my heart ache.

I just thought I would check how @skynewsrss.bsky.social reported the previous announcement in 2012.

Unsurprisingly it wasn’t “Man named as Archbishop of Canterbury”. And it made no note in the article of his wife or six children.

Bravo!

I refuse to accept Toruń is ever anything different than when I visited.

1 c and covered in sleet and fog

Perfect gingerbread weather!

I’m 100% with you.

We spent most of last summer in Flevoland in the Netherlands and every drive was accompanied by wind turbines as far as you could see

Right this needs celebrating
@davidsquires.bsky.social has produced an image of the Lionesses triumph to rival the best from the 2014 World Cup where I first encountered him.

Bravo!

There is someone that looks a lot like you further up this thread, criticising Milliband for not addressing one the first two items

It feels a little like you have taken a one sentence response to an obvious bit of politicking from the opposition and not actually engaged with the substance
