Chicken Spring has arrived! First new-laid egg of the season. Hooray for that elderly hen who keeps on cluckin'. I can certainly recommend the Andalusian Blue breed of chickens, if you're thinking about a backyard flock. She's been one of the best hens we've ever had.

Met a friend for breakfast this morning. Cortado coffee (2 shots of espresso cut with hot milk) and a cheddar-jalapeño bagel sandwich with egg and sausage. Delicious. Buttery. Heart-stopping. I regret nothing.

We got rained on, but we finished the mile-long walkies anyway. Heard some jays complaining about a Coopers hawk in the trees, until it finally got aggravated enough to leave. Pinky and The Brain are sporting their new harnesses (Joyride brand).
