That's... That's a big increase in the Title VI litigation for City Schools.

$100k to $850k for Wilmer Cutler. go.boarddocs.com/mabe/bcpss/B...

Pardon me? Did IDEA get repealed over night? This from the Baltimore Banner story on the closure of New Song Academy.

@mtamarylandalerts.bsky.social I know you had a cyberattack. But months later this is what the majority of the Silver buses look like.

And here's the Gold. Is it a 12 mins wait (fine) or nearly an hour (not fine).

It has been months since the cyber attack at MTA. Here's what the tracker looks like at 1040 on a random Saturday. Will I wait no minutes, 10 minutes or nearly an hour for bus?

There is group of crows in the tree just outside and this man has been absolutely losing his mind for the last 20 mins.

Coworker: Is that ... Is someone crying?
Me, deep sigh: No. That's Peter.

Good to see Baltimore City finally moving to get door locks -- something the FBI listed as best practice after Sandy Hook more than a decade ago.

PCAB called for this several years ago. Instead, Baltimore City spent millions on flawed, AI-enabled weapons detection go.boarddocs.com/mabe/bcpss/B...

Baltimore! Please come support some amazing young artists at BSA. Tickets still available to see this funny, lovely show.

I really wish that Mayor Scott honored Candidate Scott's word to AFT.

He called for a redress of inequities. Would that include an examination of why City Schools permitted a charter to expand and add geographic preference even as the traditional public very nearby shrank? /8

It means a longer commute for kids as young as age 11. Longer commutes affect attendance. And don't take my word it, here's the COO tells WYPR so in 2020. www.wypr.org/wypr-news/20... /6

So the district is proposing to move Dallas kids to Margaret Brent, several blocks N. That will shore up MB's enrollment, and the enrollment of Barclay and Waverly which would (in theory) get MB's current middle school students. /4
November 14, 2025 at 12:48 AM
Baltimore City Schools has proposed to *close* Dallas F Nicholas and reroute kids to Margaret Brent. To fit the Dallas kids, they propose *eliminating* middle grades at MB and making the school a K-5 rather than K-8.

PCAB raised Dallas as an example of siloed, poor policy making TWO YEARS ago /1

Here's the formal agenda: go.boarddocs.com/mabe/bcpss/B...

There is no item listed titled Annual Review.

Also the slides for TH on Community Schools are missing graphs (see below). I think someone posted the wrong version @baltcityschools.bsky.social

@baltcityschools.bsky.social Thanks for sending an email about a special Board meeting on W. But the W agenda on Board Docs go.boarddocs.com/mabe/bcpss/B... doesn't reflect that the meeting will include the annual review.

Which is correct?

In memory of Professor Dorothy Bosch Keller, my art history teacher. Her slides captured me, so much so two decades on I can hear her talking about Boticelli.

With any luck I won't completely fall to pieces seeing Caravaggio, remembering how much she loved his work.
