Reform's divisive motion has no place in our constituency, and we will continue to work tirelessly to oppose their attempts to divide our communities.

We are proud to have stood alongside the trans community at yesterday's council meeting. For a fairer, safer Bassetlaw 🏳️‍⚧️
Thanks to everyone who attended last night's council meeting in support of the trans community in Bassetlaw!

We know that Reform will bring their motion back to a future council meeting. We'll be ready & waiting to push back against their hateful rhetoric 🏳️‍⚧️

So proud of where the LGBTIQA+ Greens are as a grouping within the Green Party, especially this year as it becomes obvious that we are a party in England and Wales committed to queer liberation.
The LGBTIQA+ Greens have now hit 4,000 members! ✌️

We couldn't be happier that going into our AGM and elections season that we have such a high number of members that have joined us.

We look forward at seeing you at our AGM. Date & agenda being confirmed.

Snow isn't going to stop me from observing the @gatesheadcouncil.bsky.social Full Council meeting today at the Civic Centre!

A great example of how I am working hard all year round for the people of Gateshead.

It annoys me to no end that there is no toilet provision within Gateshead Interchange.

Bus drivers need to have a place to go, but even for me as a passenger when I needed to pee a lot early on HRT...

The lack of toilet provision felt like it restricted the amount I could rely on public transit.
Great to have @unitetheunion.bsky.social campaigning so strongly on toilet availability.

It is a matter of public health and human dignity and also an issue of safety - if people are distracted by needing a toilet when driving a bus, that’s a risk that can be designed out by providing toilets.
🚽 Research by @unitetheunion.bsky.social has found over half of UK bus routes have no toilets available for drivers.

These findings show a complete failure when it comes to providing decent toilet facilities for bus drivers. 1/2 ⤵️

Gateshead Greens are growing - rapidly! It’s never been a better time to get involved in your local community, and your local Green Party. As we gear up to the local council elections in May 2026, we’re so excited to have so many more friendly faces on the team!

I, regrettably, once did work for a gambling company. Even though I worked as a developer, I still saw the awful effects it had on people and their finances, even though the company I worked for claimed to be one of the better ones. They must be taxed higher.

BBC News is not fit for purpose. It hasn't been for a while, but here's hoping that this is a final straw (it won't be).
Fun fact: The ECU actually used the phrase “trans identity”, not “trans ideology”, and, in editing that quote, this BBC article about a presenter expressing anti-trans views breaching editorial guidelines has itself breached editorial guidelines. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Active transport is for everyone regardless of who you are. It angers us so much as green activists that promoting active travel should *only* earn you an award if you identify with your gender assigned at birth.

Trans women are women, and @cyclinguk.bsky.social needs to do better.
Like many others, I am disappointed and angry about the decision by @cyclinguk.bsky.social to change the eligibility criteria for Women in Cycling 2025 to exclude trans women.

"Lessons for progressives" of which Wesley, as much as he wishes he was, is not. None of the current cabal of Labour government ministers are.
As the assumed Labour leader designate, Wes is on maneuvers and it will be interesting to see what lessons he, a grifter, takes from Mamdani, given that Cuomo was his closest equivalent in this campaign.

Mamdani's win gives me hope for a better America. It gives me hope that the future there isn't so bleak. It gives me hope that I can visit my friends in their country and not in some other state like Canada, for my own safety.
Huge congratulations to Zohran Mamdani on his election as Mayor of New York City from all of us at the Green Party! 🎉💚

These decisions by ICB Sussex are incredibly cruel, and driven by dangerous rhetoric around trans people, and a national culture war. Trans kids deserve better.

A class act from the @lgbtiqagreens.bsky.social committee. Hate is the same, regardless of what colour or what type of hate it is, and we should always stand hand-in-hand with fellow marginalised groups.
We are so sorry to hear of your experience, Mothin! It's an absolute shame that even in 2025, people can't let other people be. It's a damning indictment of our current political and media class that stir up hatred on the daily.

We stand in solidarity with you!
A memorable night ruined by a racist thug.

I was invited to speak at the EuroAsia Curry Awards on Monday night, it should have been an exciting opportunity. But on my way there, outside Earl’s Court station, I was subjected to an Islamophobic hate crime. I have now reported it to the police
October 29, 2025 at 8:31 PM
Many thanks for speaking up about this Mothin. It's really important that we all understand our common enemy here... transphobes, islamophobes... they all wear the same stripes.

I'd drop the part about "legitimate concerns" given how weaponised that is against trans folk, but otherwise full marks.
Transphobes don't just hate trans people, but they're generally quite shit - racists, islamophobes, shit politics, that's what they stand for
When I said our fight is one, I meant it, the same people coming after one minority also target others
Legitimate concerns need space, hate doesn’t

Today is intersex Awareness Day. There are many reasons why this day is necessary; as the rhetoric against trans people often doesn't factor in intersex people, and all the while, it also directly harms and vilifies them.

Those who support Your Party will say that the Greens still have not sufficiently dealt with transphobia because we have elected representatives that are transphobes. I say to that, that you have Adnan Hussain; and let's not pretend that transphobia is a popular opinion within the Green Party.

Makes you absolutely mad doesn't it. Transphobia isn't a red line for these ghouls. They'd rather Starmer be out to save their careers than any other reason. They have zero principles, or they'd have left Labour.
Fuck MP's. What about the lives Starmer is destroying? 😡😡

Henceforth Piers Morgan shall be known as Penis Moan-groan, since that's what he seems to like doing so much.
According to The Spectator - I’m the person that bothers Piers Morgan the most.

Green membership doubled, record polling & Piers bothered - I’m delighted!

But we're just beginning. Join us to keep the movement growing and keep bothering Piers!
