If #DailyPictureTheme #wall were a competition, I wonder if the Great Wall of China would have to win? I loved visiting China in 2007. (ALT text is interesting)

From the NYT - does anyone doubt that we've reached George Orwell's 1984 conditions?

We call it hash. A favorite very simple to make meals with whatever random seasoning on beef, #potato and sweet onion. Simple can be really good! #DailyPictureTheme #Potato

I know I'm a few days late for the #handmade #DailyPictureTheme , but it just hit me that I should use my hands that handmade my hands as a proper post for the topic. This was accidental, my gel polish looked too harsh colored and I painted the brown gold which has flaked off artistically.

None of the traitors who kowtowed to the Republicans are up for election. Here's their photograph from a blue sky post. Even though the person who posted this is called Melissa, it wasn't me

I'm seeing almost too many negative news items to cope with. Let's lift each other up as well as alert each other, please. Here is today's beautiful sunrise.

From Newsweek, I'm grateful my state is taking measures to lessen the grievous harm from the Republican starvation campaign.

When my Momma visited and I braided her hair really pretty. I am so looking forward to seeing her 85 year old little self at Thanksgiving. (Assuming planes are working then) #braid #DailyPictureTheme

A terrifying leaf #skeleton (Yes, that's what it's really called, I just learned that) -cast down to the earth in ignominious decay. The other foliage is shivering in dismay and fear. 😱 #DailyPictureTheme

Beware of #zombie kitty! (Maybe spot Kitty was so sleepy, he felt like a zombie) Since the real world is so scary, this is my comfort level with this Halloween theme. #DailyPictureTheme

I treasure the flower that was given to me to promote peace when I attended the no Kings rally on Saturday.

A pink sharks mouth view of our state capitol No Kings rally today. It was a delight!

They look pretty awesome when sitting, too. It was such a joy to see them when I visited Costa Rica!

While I look forward to attending our local No Kings rally in an inflatable shark suit (in solidarity with Portland), I am really needing these words of wisdom: "He who has a why can endure any how." -Friedrich Nietzsche

Proper attire for No Kings protest, but we'll need a minder.

This is that time of year, when the sun skitters across the top of Mt. Rainier. I caught it yesterday and today in the two grooves of my tri-tip mountain view. First time ever catching it. I'm shocked that it moves so fast. - time to celebrate with a #pizza #DailyPictureTheme

Sharing with you: tonight's lovely moonrise and Mt. Rainier sunset reflection.

Just beautiful morning mountain pictures. Although in the first one you can hardly see Mount Rainier.

on my walk last evening, I noticed that the owl of wisdom on top of the courthouse does not frighten the naughty pigeons. Not even one bit.

When we mimic others' contempt for our beliefs and us -- big mistake. "Wrongs are often forgiven, but contempt never is. Our pride remembers it forever." -Lord Chesterfield (compassion is better)

Good morning! I put up a fence for my puppies and the rabbits have to stay out now and I actually have grass again! It was getting quite barren before.
