If Andrea Maack is on your wishlist, Yvette currently has full bottles at a substantial discount!

Combined with the early access Black Friday code she recently emailed, I scored a 50 ml of Flux for the same price Andrea Maack charges for a travel size. 🤯

SOTN: Taipei by One Day. Hadn’t worn this in a while and my bottle is shockingly low and now I remember why. This scent is delicious and addictive and just savory enough.

JD Vance owns a company that buys American real estate and sells it to foreign investors. They specifically target Americans in crisis to buy their property for less than it is worth.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

I started work with a call at 730am with Taiwan. I provided a training to Singapore at 7pm, I had at least 8 other calls in between that mess, and it’s 10pm and I’m still working. I think it’s safe to say I’m a bit tired

Minor hangover today = not really feeling perfume. Did one spray of tea tonique by miller Harris and decided it was too perfumey (it’s actually a lovely, bright citrus tea, I’m just being a grump).

The message came a day after the bishops unveiled ‘You Are Not Alone,’ a program that lays out ways for U.S. Catholics to provide direct aid and solidarity to immigrants…”

It’s my 40th birthday and I feel a bit drunk on how good I smell. I’m wearing Lutin Errant by Buchart Colbert. I then was getting ready to leave the house and added a couple of sprays of Black Tie by Celine for good measure. I’m an earthy vanilla delight. Happy 40th to me :)

This post brought to you by my sample of Comfy Ture by Jousset, a more amped up version of Crumb Couture by Snif. Thoroughly enjoying it like I enjoy my travel of Crumb Couture that I’ve had for over a year and haven’t finished. Also these notes sound like a perfect breakfast

I love a gourmand. My favorites have a bready note. But let’s be real. I only ever really want to wear them to bed. And how many bedtime scents does a person need? My beside table is covered in full bottles, oils and samples of bedtime scents. New rule: one in one out on bedtime scents.

Trying out Chinese Calligraphy by D’annam. On my skin this starts bright, powdery and perfumey (very enjoyable) and then the coffee note slowly starts to emerge. It’s not the strongest coffee and the scent is ultimately quite subtle and close to the skin. Not sweet at all. I enjoy it.

Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

Wore a t-shirt with a cherry on it today and wanted a cherry scent of plum scent. Don’t have any fb in my collection so I wore Tambae by KST which has a similar rich tartness I was looking for. I then remembered I have a decant of Lull by Gabar, not super cherry but cozy.

Black American soldiers literally dug these WWII graves. Traumatic. To acknowledge that fact at a cemetery they helped construct is something the Heritage Foundation cannot accept. As Veterans Day approaches, never forget that this country both compels and disrespects Black military service. Always.
1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

I’m ignoring politics for a minute in the hopes that it all magically fixes itself. So SOTN is Iris Palladium. I haven’t worn this since I got the decant but really enjoying the aromatic vibe this evening. It’s not sweet, it has a good touch of sage and carrot seed. Really pretty.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.

We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.

A vote for this bill is a mistake.

particularly when axios is reporting it and no one else — not even politico — is.
Regular reminder that Axios stories saying Dems are about to cave are likely sourced from GOP staffers trying to make it happen.
Doesn't mean it definitely won't happen. But it's like those NYT stories that Harvard is considering caving (they haven't). The anonymous source was trying to manifest it.

I’ve come to believe that we need to gather considerable forces and a campaign to demand the removal of face masks by ICE, Border Patrol, FBI and police.

It is a practice in conflict with the principles of transparency & accountability that are central to the concept of democracy.
Video on social media shows an immigration agent pulling a gun in Little Village and holding it to the side — which is not an appropriate or safe way to hold a gun. (Among other issues.)
