Yup. The term is clinical equipoise and it's exactly why vaccine studies aren't done that way. Any of the diseases vaccines prevent are massively more dangerous than a vaccine. It's pretty simple math.

I'm firmly in "other," leaning toward not at all. I also would say the piles are semi-organized into currently reading or up next, unless something else grabs my attention. I'm only unfaithful like that to books, in case anyone was wondering.

I'm firmly in "other," leaning toward not at all. I also would say the piles are semi-organized into currently reading or up next, unless something else grabs my attention. I'm only unfaithful like that to books, in case anyone was wondering.
Idk how you feel seen, but for me it's when someone reads a book cover blurb and says: "Don't you love Nora Ephron? You'd probably like this." ... Unexpectedly lovely novel, given the story line, by Dolly Alderton finished this week. (Also buying me books!)
