Yes. It’s very close to that Upper Crust New England accent that Katherine Hepburn had. Stockard Channing is also from that societal strata. Streep wasn’t necessarily born to it, but being the accent genius she is, she can do it with the best of the Blue Bloods. It commands attention, for sure.

I would, proverbially and quite literally, listen to Stockard Channing read a phone book, if such artifacts still existed. A national treasure on par with Streep.
