Judge Reid on Lanez's lawyer Crystal Morgan (same lawyer who wrote his doomed-to-failure appellate briefs):

"Her conduct served to reinforce and sought to excuse Mr. Peterson’s contentious behavior rather than ensure compliance with court orders."

The seven-page order from U.S Magistrate Judge Lisette Reid is kind of hilarious.

"Further, with respect to Plaintiff’s deposition exhibits, Ms. Morgan complained she had not received them, despite having received them by email from Plaintiff’s counsel." storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

"The three questions Plaintiff’s counsel asked during the deposition were (1) How he first came to know Defendant [Milagro] Cooper; (2) Whether Mr. Peterson communicated with Defendant Cooper; and (3) Whether he sent Ms. Cooper Instagram direct messages or text messages."

Oops meant to post the s reshot of the jury instruction. Here it is.

I was reminded when putting together this article of the special jury instruction Milagro earned as a sanction for deleting texts after she got a legal notice not to.

How totally devastating!

Trial begins Monday in Megan Thee Stallion's federal defamation lawsuit. Here's a primer.
I'm going to Florida to cover the jury trial in the rapper's federal lawsuit against an online commentator accused of working with imprisoned rapper Tory Lanez to defame her.

He didn’t say he saw her pull the trigger. He said he thought he saw her with the gun then the short guy got the gun and started firing everywhere.

I mean really, this was some all-star bad appellate advocacy.

The justices pointed out some stuff I hadn't noticed, like Lanez only challenging one of four aggravators found at sentencing, about Megan being a vulnerable victim. He was fine with the one about him harassing her.

To be clear, there is nothing funny about a man firing five rounds at a woman in a bikini, then lying about it and harassing her over it.

But there IS something a bit funny about his fans convincing themselves his appeal had any chance of being anything other than rejected.

The opinion affirming Tory Lanez's convictions and prison sentence is, as expected, "unpublished," which means it doesn't establish new case law and isn't citable.

But it WILL be publicly available. I should have a copy soon, stay tuned!
