This is due to a law signed by Ronald Reagan and has nothing to do with this shutdown fight.

But consider this...

Emergency Medicaid spending in 2023 cost $3.8 billion — just 0.4% of total Medicaid spending.

Now what about the $20 billion taxpayers are giving to Argentina?

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Our problem isn't a lack of resources.

Our problem is ever-expanding inequality.

There’s money for ICE
There’s money for concentration camps
There’s money for tax cuts for the wealthy

Yet there’s no money for healthcare, housing, food assistance, social support, or public broadcasting.

There’s no money to help the sick, homeless & starving

Suffering is a political choice

This has always been the GOP's strategy:

1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves.

2) Explode deficits

3) Use the debt as an excuse to demand cuts to vital programs that help millions.

4) Repeat.

Trump's budget will actively take money away from working people and give it to the ultra wealthy.

This is just another reminder of who Trump is working for.

He will always put his billionaire buddies above the American people.

The Senate must vote NO on this bill.

A recent report found that Elon Musk faced at least $2.37B in potential legal liability from 11 fed agencies as of Inauguration Day.

As he exits, these agencies are still on DOGE's chopping block or have dropped investigations into his corporations.

See what this was about?

Understand this: Republicans in Congress want to rip health care away from babies, new mamas, and seniors in nursing homes to help billionaires buy more yachts. That’s the “big, beautiful bill” they’re trying to pass.

House Republicans voted to gut Medicaid and food assistance for millions of Americans…

Just to give even massive tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy & waste more taxpayer money on the bloated Pentagon.

What the hell are they doing?!

The GOP budget bill is 1,116 pages long but it boils down to this one simple fact:

Republicans are facilitating a massive transfer of wealth to the richest Americans while making cuts that would rip away healthcare and food from millions of people.

It's Robin Hood in reverse.
