I’ve been only torso most of my career tbf
Been an on/off boxer for many years (started on martial arts, competitions etc but then just moved to doing it for fitness). I do think boxers are the pinnacle of all round fitness. Got a heavy bag in the garden too! Always wanted to get a speed bag but I suspect it’ll barely get used…

I've abandoned plans to landscape my garden and am turning it into a schools sports field complete with climbing wall, crash mats, agility drills etc. I have had fewer injuries and feel more energetic. I still do weights and longer runs, but less than before. Explosiveness longevity is my goal now!

I've also been getting back into skipping, sprinting (as I've previously mentioned), plyometrics of all sorts, and built a climbing frame in the garden for callisthenics. The great advantage with all this is that it's lovely joint exercise I can do with my children.

Yesterday I did a bleep test & standing long jumps, after YEARS. Achieved level 11 (tbh I don't think it was a proper 20m shuttle so I'd knock that down a notch) and even with my short stature hit a 2.45m jump which seems quite good?! Nothing in the weights room gave me this sense of accomplishment!
