and the "heritage trees" they were protecting to prevent the evilness of Hospital ruining the historical characteristics of Halifax

also every parking spot is deemed "heritage".

also, if Kaleigh from Wolfville wants to preserve Halifax' historical identity she should only come by horse and carriage and train.

Don't make us look the same as any other city filled with cars.

i actually had to laugh last time i called when the Agent didn't even have to ask all my details. when i started spelling my e-mail address "yep, we have that!" 😉

this is Federal road so not much the city can do about it
November 15, 2025 at 4:53 PM
also used by commuters in morning to avoid one street light, again with no respect to speed limits. I wonder how many Parks Canada facilities actually encourage drivers to use them as a "short cut".
November 15, 2025 at 4:53 PM
pretty sure that was the city sidewalk on the other side (adjacent to the shelters)

but there was regularly a large cone left over from one of the concert that would block the sidewalk on the top, and when i mentioned it to Citadel EEs they were helpless in doing anything about it

every year since i've been here, all of which under a government lead by the party of the current MP

also love how drivers, led by the working crew, totally show how meaningless the painted line is to them.

" It was dark and raining hard. "

so i assume drivers were driving at a reduced speed due to less than ideal conditions in order to be able to stop when their required LIGHTS showed something in the road.

i hope that's his next election slogan.

This is a major bus stop/future BRT bus stop 3 or 4 days after a storm last February. That’s the norm on Herring Cove Road. People will not make the switch from driving to transit if they’re going to be subjected to this.

i'm in similar situation at the North end of the perimeter.

obviously, but i can't argue if they are meeting the city's anti-pedestrian standards. first they wanted to cheap out by contracting out, and then by not requiring basic safety services for the more vulnerable road users. this is on HRM not on the contractors.
November 14, 2025 at 1:03 PM
i think this is part of the equations, but the contractor are respecting the rule the city made and they were asked to bid on, they only have to address once the event is over and they have 36 hours, which gets reset with start of new event.

other great thing about video on YT, when i jokingly complained that as GOC they needed to provide a French version (ie the other colonialist official language), @thejuicemedia.com said they would do it with AI. They have truly captured PM Daddy Banker.
