Found a note from 1978 where they trusted that rational people understood the importance of a measles vaccination.

47 years ago.
A letter dated June 8, 1978 reads, " dear parent, effective July 7th 1978 the state school immunization law is amended. This amendment affects all pupils who attend any school for which the State board of education prescribe minimum standards. The school is concerned about one amendment. Any male or female pupil who is vaccinated against measles prior to reaching age 12 months must be revaccinated. At the beginning of the 1978-79 school year a parent has 14 days to present written evidence that the pupil is in compliance with State school immunization law. If after the end of this 14-day grace period, the parent has not submitted written evidence of compliance that pupil should be excluded from school until evidence is submitted. We are sorry to inform you of this action but trust that you realize the importance of measles immunization."

I used to get depressed in the winter, probably SAD. Spring seemed like it would never come.

My perspective has changed in the last couple of years. Winter has its own stark beauty.
