The Feeling of Being Stared At.
You’ve probably experienced it: you’re deep into a book or when suddenly you feel it—a faint sensation at the back of your neck. You turn around and, someone is staring at you. Coincidence, or is something more happening here?

Don't be afraid of the dark

In your heart

You're gonna find a way

To carry the weight of the world

On your shoulders

You're gonna find a way home

A child’s world is fresh and new and beautiful, full of wonder and excitement. It is our misfortune that for most of us that clear-eyed vision, that true instinct for what is beautiful and awe-inspiring, is dimmed and even lost before we reach adulthood.
Rachel Carson on cultivating a "sense of wonder so indestructible" that it acts as "an unfailing antidote against… the sterile preoccupation with things that are artificial, the alienation from the sources of our strength"
Pioneering Biologist and Writer Rachel Carson on Wonder, Parenting, and Why It Is More Important to Feel Than to Know
“If facts are the seeds that later produce knowledge and wisdom, then the emotions and the impressions of the senses are the fertile soil in which the seeds must grow.”

Especially among the 'die hard' smokers there is a high percentage of childhood trauma. As a society we need to become much more trauma oriented, so that fewer people need to seek relief from suffering through substance abuse.

The fine-tuning of the universe for life suggests goal-directedness in the early universe. Bias against such hypotheses as "proper science" may hinder recognition of this evidence, a stance future generations might find perplexing.

A hilarious AI video imagines Donald Trump drinking ayahuasca, facing his inner demons, and embracing New Age clichés. Post-trip, he remains a narcissist, now in a spiritual guise, declaring, “They say I’m the greatest shaman now. Maybe they’re right.”

We often talk about how polarization

is tearing society apart.

But if you could take one small step today

to build a bridge—even if it's just in a conversation

what would it be?
