Incredible. 11/10 online checkout experience Microsoft, no notes. I have 17 Xbox games in my cart from your heavily advertised Black Friday sale. Deliberately flushing any goodwill you had left with gamers down the toilet, true business geniuses at work.

Excellent thread. Makes me wonder how many other undervalued player archetypes are out there.
Here's a thread of some scattered thoughts about Jordan Spence, first star of last night's Ottawa win over Utah. He is a very good and very unusual player, which is to say: my favourite kind of player.

Absolutely could not have said this any better. Good fucking riddance Gamepass.
Microsoft just made it easier than ever to stop putting up with Microsoft

“Oooooklahoma where the truth goes gurgling down the drain!”
In Oklahoma, children will be taught that the 2020 election was stolen.

Just cleared a level of Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods I had been stuck on for more than a year (because I’m an aging masochist who refuses to lower the difficulty from Ultra Violence). Feels good man. Rip and tear, until it is done.

Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

Really wanted to like Atomfall but the clunky combat and completely broken stealth mechanics outweigh any interest and intrigue I’ve found so far in the story. Think I’m gonna uninstall and maybe revisit if/when they fix a few rough edges.

Finished Avowed yesterday, what a delightful game. Aesthetically gorgeous, solid story with real consequences to decisions, well written companions (even wet blanket Marius) and combat that was tight and satisfying. They also gave you incentive to explore, with stuff hidden everywhere. Recommend!

If the last thing I see before the heat death of Twitter was @shaynagoldman.bsky.social posting Adam Fantilli’s hat trick footage then so be it

To all my mutuals who managed to secure the bag by going to work at Meta (and there are quite a few of you), I respect the hustle but you must understand you are complicit in the fully enshittified, rot economy monster you have helped create
you should see Meta for what it is: a dying industry giant whose business model is almost entirely predicated on scamming the elderly with bots, disinformation, and AI-generated slop

it is a parasite network
