Forgot to mention the game will have a top-down mode too, and the ability to seamlessly toggle between the two!

So far everything works great in both modes, I'm actually surprised more dungeon crawlers don't let you switch seamlessly between the two.

The Game Awards this year is just like 2024 US Presidential Election: My vote is meaningless because I'm going against the populist candidate with the annoying fans, but I did it anyways because I don't value my time.

While certainly messier than the original, Hideo Kojima's surrealist treatize on loss and grief still resonates in that special way few games do. It helps that the game is fun as hell, too.

Turns out I actually quite disliked this year's eventual GOTY winner, to the point that I didn't finish it. It's a fine game, but to see it get all this adulation in a world where games like The Hundred Line are languishing in obscurity is more than a little disheartening. Still, there's merit here.

My top 10 of the 2000s so far. Shoutout to The Zone of Interest, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, No Country For Old Men, and Beau is Afraid which were all considered but just barely missed out.

The Hundred Line is not only one of the best games I've ever played, it is not only a magnum opus for an entire genre of video games, but so far it is the defining video game of the 2020s. This grandiose maximalist meditation on war and human nature deserves every award, and will get none of them.

still have like a hundred hours to go but #TheHundredLine is one of the year's best and most ambitious titles. So raucously funny and absurd but the core of it is so touchingly human. One of the most frightening and yet compassionate games I've ever played, and I still have like 80 endings to go!

After tomorrow, there won't be an us. There will only be a you and a me. But we’ll remember us. When the chains clamp around our neck. When they march us out in the cold to build their bombs. When they stitch our lips shut because we spat on their shoes. There will be a memory of us to come home to.
