Do you know of anything that works on a plasmid?

Do people tag TfR? Or is it fluorescent transferrin that is most commonly used?

Should have phrased it more clearly what protein should I tag for exogenous expression to see the recycling endosome in live cells.

Plasmid expression is ok.

Yes, which protein to tag.

To be honest, I've never marked up and A1.

I just said that due to the extensive nature of the changes they are not marked up, could be the safe thing to do regardless of the new rule.

Never seen them before.

Centralized system runs on a subscription, I believe, which costs institutions money, whereas your time is free to them.

They’re will to pay for med school student because they generate revenue, grad students not so much, from the institutions’ viewpoint.

Molly says that its officially a snow day and we need to stay in bed all day.

Who am I to argue?

Tough reading though, the authors could benefit from a nice science writing class.

This person asked a question after someone’s talk. The question was ‘Sir, have you read the literature?’

Just very unprofessional, plus this was a workshop with students from all over India and established scientists from all over the world. Very embarrassing for the rest of us.

Their argument was that you can’t make lots of membranes without mitochondria, because you need so much energy to make lipids.

As a non evolutionary biologist, I thought it wasn’t a great argument because yeast do pretty well with extremely defective mitochondria.

I attended an evolution of cellular compartments about 15 years ago. The evolutionary scientists were really anrguing about whether endomembranes or mitochondria evolved first. Someone was quite unpleasant about it. They were on the mitos had to come first, it kinda looks likethey were wrong.
