GAMEPLAY ✧ ACTION ROLLS ✧ The GM guides the game and describes what the HUNTERS encounter as they traverse Hellfire Dungeon. Each time a Hunter wants to take a risky ACTION (i.e. combat, stealth, investigation, difficult conversation, physical demands, mental resistance, composure, etc.), the GM calls for an ACTION ROLL using a relevant stat, and determines the Action’s difficulty/likelihood of success. TRIVIAL Actions need 1 success: scaling up the ladder in an elevator shaft DIFFICULT Actions need 2 successes: searching for the key to a locked closet BRUTAL Actions need 3 successes: convincing a security guard to allow passage IMPOSSIBLE Actions need 4 successes: defending against a horde of blue flame demons The Hunter rolls a number of d6 equal to that stat on their character sheet, plus any bonuses. Each die that rolls a 4 or higher is a success. The GM describes how the Hunter succeeds or fails the Action. ✧ HEALTH & WILLPOWER ✧ Each Hunter starts with 5 ♡ HEALTH and 5 ✧ WILLPOWER. You must have at least 1 Health and 1 Willpower in order to take Actions. If you are reduced to 0 Health/Willpower in a room, you will fade into the background, unable to take any Actions. To restore 1 point of Health/Willpower, one or more group members can spend a total number Health/Willpower equal to the number of group members. If your Health and/or Willpower are still at 0 before the group enters the next room, the Devil claims you, and you will not be debuting with your fellow idols.
