But I think for vast swathes of the population in this country, that is the way we are headed. And I also think that it will take a long time, but the rest will catch up eventually. Maybe that is unrealistic, but I hope not.

So in that case, why don't women and men just get changed together then? Unless they are criminals of course?

I can't help thinking that if societies views on how a boy/girl, man/woman should look, act, think, dress etc were less pre-concieved, then freedom of individual preference on these would render one's decision on which gender to choose insignificant.

I am still struggling to grasp what it is that makes gender, the concept of which is largely socially constructed anyway, either align or contrast with one's biological makeup. I think until I can understand that, the rest of the subject is distinctly muddy water for me.

I engage with people on these issues purely to try to find out what it is that I'm missing. I am intrigued by this subject, and inclined to be opinionated on it. I realise this could be largely down to a lack of understanding. You seem a lot more rational than many others I have chatted with.

Is protecting women's right to feel safe in a changing room feminism? I'm asking here...

I know the kids in poverty is a pressing issue, but also a slower fix.

It looks to me like the government is protecting the women who want to get changed only with other women in public women only places. I may have missed the point though...

Minority groups have always found and will always find it difficult, unfortunately. Any way you find yourself in a minority is going to be awkward. It is still a mistake to pander to the few at the expense of the many. Education and understanding is important, yes, but not mass sacrifice of rights.

This is obviously true. Where is the link to this nugget?

Those with loads obviously have influence enough to destroy people who get in their way, but there must come a point where the uprising built on genuine sense of injustice is unstoppable. Surely.

Well said. Nobody's perfect, those other options are terrible!

Trouble with Corbyn, he gives the impression that he genuinely cares about the little guy. Also, he's too focused on being decent and logical to play the game and compete. Should be enough, but I don't think it ever will be because politics suits arseholes too much.

This sounds like a very progressive idea. Employed people ending up working for themselves?! It's genius! Imagine the feeling of national pride and motivation!

It's a good point this, there is no stable principles based definition between parties. The majority of M.Ps seem to go where the work is. That said, there are some on the left with stubborn values who won't bend, and some on the right who are too prejudiced and/or blindly greedy to be adaptable.
