Numerous sources yesterday morning reported the vote as having "Passed", whilst noting the large number of abstentions. The below is from Reuters, so not exactly a disreputable source.

I can answer that question: no it wasn't.

I just do not understand the resilience of European equities.

Fiscal expansion, "it's not America", blah blah blah...

How much longer will investors look through the truly dismal earnings picture?

European equity melt up continues because the Fed did exactly what everyone expected.

As it so often does, this job leaves me scratching my head.

What this doesn't mention is that the following week saw almost symmetrical outflows 👇

Stocks spiking on yet another bullshit headline which is a total distortion of the facts.

Saying "what the fuck do you want us to do" is absolutely not "weighing up an offer".

And yet people defend the WSJ's journalistic integrity.

Much being made about this volume spike in SPY calls just before Trump's tariff U-turn. But looking at a single strike/expiry doesn't really tell you anything.

E.g. the 504 strike PUT also had a big spike in volume:

Need to look at the whole option complex to draw any sensible conclusions.

I wonder which of Trump's cronies were given these headlines 30 mins before they hit the tape.
April 7, 2025 at 2:22 PM
But of course. It couldn't possibly be due to investors starting to question the whole AI hypefest.
