The shutdown has to end. They fought the good fight. As much as I hate to say it, let the GOP wreck the HC subsidies. It stinks & will hurt real people, but maybe the silver lining is that more people get pissed and wreck the GOP in ‘26, and in ‘28 we can have a legitimate shot at Medicare for All.

Once again, failing Time Magazine decided to put Trump on the cover, so it didn‘t make it into the house from the mailbox and instead went straight into the trash (♻️). So glad I didn’t renew that one. #TimeMagazine

It's not clear that he does, as Mike Johnson's communication strategy seems to rely heavily on being unaware.
When faced with questions he should be able to answer, he has a reliable response: "I don't know."

People who passively support Trump by feigning ignorance or indifference (or whatever) will be remembered as the enablers of what is one of the very worst periods in American history. These people are “Vichy Americans”. History will and should judge them all very harshly.

Today was a huge, encouraging success. But going forward, it should be called something like “No Tyrants“ or “No Fascists.” Or preferably something even better and broader.

I am all for the protests tomorrow but I’m struggling w/ the continued use of the name “No Kings” at this point. It just doesn’t encapsulate everything being protested. It needs a better, broader moniker. No Kings. But also No Cruelty. No Corruption. No Chaos. No Extrajudicial Killings. No Fascism.
