Contrast this with the response of a president who was an actual decent human being.

If you think you're the only one feeling like trump's a facist turning up to an event where thousands of people are feeling the same exact way is a way of not feeling nuts. It gets you inspired to do more

There are basically no cops here, just tens of thousands of people orderly protesting our fascist government from the New York Public Library to Madison Square Park. Volunteers are moving people in the right direction. It’s beautiful.

The biggest trap we can fall into is to take our universities’ virtues for granted—talking up our greatness in purely academic, abstract terms.

To beat Trump, we have to join a broader movement defending public institutions from billionaires—bc public instititions improve people’s lives.

Sincere question: how does this compare to 2020? (I was so ill at the time that I couldn’t read, so I genuinely don’t know.)
I have never seen anything like this in NYC. 5th Ave covered from 42nd St well to the 20s. Nobody prepared for this volume. Volunteers are holding the traffic on all the side streets. No police in sight. #handsoff

Man, the big huge protests in places like Boston, DC, NY, Chicago, and Minneapolis are awe-inspiring.

But my heart is gonna explode looking at these crowds of people out in tiny Maine towns and super red Alabama towns. Places where 15% of the population is on the street corner with more coming!

So…Gene Hackman. That’s sad, and scary, horrifying.

No one should have to go through that. I’m not saying I have any kind of answer. It’s horrible

Happy MLK Jr. Day, my friends. In 1968, Dr. King spoke the following words, which are equally true today:

"The nation is sick. Trouble is in the land; confusion all around.... But I know, somehow, that only when it is dark enough, can you see the stars."

We must find & feed the points of light.

Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public.

He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.

Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.
