One of the coolest appeals of 3D animation is its ability to evoke the uncanny or liminal. There's something so surreal and dreamlike about older cgi renders.

Kind of limiting to the imagination of what you could achieve with 3D animation that one of the go to examples of a really great looking 3D animated film is that it has a lot of charm of 2D animation.

If you retreat to the familiar constantly and never seek discomfort or challenge not only will you be incredibly dull you'll also deteriorate your brain and become easily persuaded by false narratives. This is why fascist governments have always been against challenging art.
