Amazing, really, that there are still people who think writers can’t be autistic. I mean, “caring enough about something to spend years thinking about it for little or no money” is your first clue right there…

Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

Coincidentally, today is also the anniversary of one of life’s ‘Before’ and ‘After’ moments. If you know, you know, etc…

By mimicking Reform to win back support, the Labour government is making a serious mistake. This race to the bottom emboldens Farage, punishes vulnerable people, amplifies racism, and undermines those working to hold communities together.

Love this thread. Although not, obviously, the situation.

(Historically, my version of ‘showing up at your house with a baseball bat’ is ‘writing an ill-advisable long letter’. Which can go about as well…)
Yesterday I was going through something super tough and someone came for me at the exact most vulnerable moment and was like the biggest jerk and it has been 24 hours of the most intense self regulation I have ever exerted upon myself and fam I am VIBRATING

Been indoors with some phase of lurgy for most of November. Today I went out for a sunny walk with a podcast on in prep for a book event, and it felt like how I felt after I ran 18 miles for the first time…

It's a great cosmic joke that neurodivergence both runs in families and gets diagnosed based on parent reports. I was diagnosed at 30 because a man who has eaten potatoes every day for 57 years and a woman who collects loose buttons decided I was a perfectly normal child.
