I remind anyone that will (perhaps some that won't) listen that LaPlace had it right...T = p*r/2*t. Works for smooth vascular muscle and the heart.

I wonder if EPSS has utility in identifying patients on peripheral VA ECMO who could benefit from unloading. Otherwise, I totally agree - forget EPSS. That said, I think M-mode over AMVL is worth doing for other reasons (select effusion assessments, LVOTO, pedagogy).
