Maybe we could convince him he’s going to be our great scientist to assist Urras and throw him into a rocket aimed anywhere but here.

Life would be better imo if we just embraced that instead of projecting divinity and order onto ourselves and our world.

Even if this is indicative of autism (which I see a lot of people saying), that doesn’t mean you just give the kid a gold star and bail. You make sure they are supported and set up for well-rounded success however that looks for them. The school seems to be trying and the parents are just ignoring.

“No true Nazi would…” do several tours of duty on a literal crusade, double down by joining a mercenary organization, and somewhere along the line get and retain a Nazi tattoo.

I cannot believe how quickly this relationship tanked. This kind of post would have been unthinkable a year and a half ago.
Or maybe I’m delusional, but I never imagined the US being bellicose toward CANADA. Our sports leagues are interwoven for crying out loud!

As an American, hearing $70b referred to as a surprisingly large figure in reference to military spending and thinking “that’s nothing!” really shows me how numb I am to how much money we waste on our military.
I’m a slowly boiled frog.

Defunding schools keeps republicans in power though, so… they’ll keep doing it and people will keep getting their education from right wing podcasters

The only time “X was a product of the time” is valid is when it explains why my mom asks if an email is a scam or why I don’t understand what 6-7 means.
When it concerns basic morality it’s never a legit defense. Slavery? Always bad. Rape? Also always bad.
Treat people as ends in themselves.

“Concerned about their patriotism”?
I know I shouldn’t still be surprised at their fascism, but goddamn they still manage to get me.

This is not a Biden defense post, but his admin did a lot more to fix the economy than Trump 1 or 2 have done.

The Dems will manage to make it back into office in perfect timing to take the blame once people realize the economy is cooked.
Feels like a lot of the problems with the Biden economy were vestiges of COVID and Trump’s policies (as well as gas prices due to Ukraine), but Biden took the blame.

Things in Green Bay must be pretty grim if folks there are clamoring for Malik Willis like the people in Arizona were begging for Brissett.

When I read about companies like this it helps me understand the bloodthirst that often accompanies peasant revolutions.
People can only be treated as means to someone else’s pursuit of wealth for so long before they snap and lash out without humanity. It’s really sad.
