Today is the day to repost this meme about International Men's Day, one of the most unironically wholesome memes that has ever been made.

Shoutout to all my fellow champs, chiefs, and kings. ✊

Gonna talk in entomology class today about how Jewish scientists forced to work in Nazi concentration camps secretly sent fake vaccines to the eastern front and managed to kill 4,000 Nazis with typhus.
Vaccine subterfuge: How vaccine-makers fooled the Nazis from inside a concentration camp lab
Confined first at Auschwitz then Buchenwald, a Jewish microbiologist conspired with a ragtag team of scientists and rebels to send dud typhus vaccines to the German soldiers on the eastern front.

I think it's time I made a confession.

I lost my virginity to a well known celebrity.

It was great at the time, although every else in Madame Tussauds looked horrified.

OK, so whether you’re all in on AI or, like me, deeply skeptical and a confirmed avoider, you should read this by @edzitron.com. And then everything else.
Exclusive: Anthropic spent $2.66 billion on Amazon Web Services in the first three quarters of 2025, around 100% of their estimated revenue. Its costs appear to increase with their revenue, showing little path to profitability.

One of the easiest ways to avoid fraud is to just give everyone the same thing. If you're gonna get the same cheque no matter what you say, why would you lie? And even if you do, why would we care?

Hence UBI.
When you say only the “genuinely disabled” should receive support, you’re aiding fascism.

When you say people are scamming the system, you’re aiding fascism.

Many disabilities are invisible and it’s hard to get support.

People aren’t scamming. That’s “useless eater” rhetoric designed to divide.

The way people are talking about it you’d think it was some dystopia from the Hunger Games or something

This is exactly my view on LLMs and AI more broadly. And I've been in AI/ML for 30 years.
"I have a decent fluency in LLMs, and they have utility, but the absurd degree of over-hype, the way they're being forced on everyone, and the insistence on ignoring the many valid critiques about them make it very difficult to focus on legitimate uses where they might add value."
