📉Don’t call it a trend just yet, but last week’s fielding was a rougher one for the Liberals and for Mark Carney.

The House of Commons is unlistenable in English – that's my complaint. So much is lost in translation, and the debates in French are actually good and substantive?

Mark Carney built a reputation on linking economic instability with climate inaction. Now he’s made a deal with the very industries driving the crisis.

This isn't Canadian leadership, it’s cowardice disguised as pragmatism.

I went through this process years ago in Switzerland - they chose the Gripen at first, but eventually switched to the F-35. The Gripen sucks and we have a unique NORAD mission.

My preferred option is to buy the damned jets and leverage a maintenance centre in Mirabel

The impulse to break with the United States is right, but axing the F-35 program is the wrong way to express it.

The assigned head of the Civil Division and Appellate Division of the New Jersey U.S. Attorney's Office has been a lawyer for less than five years. She practiced law at two firms for less than three years after a one-year clerkship at the NJ Supreme Court. She has been at DOJ since January.
So, Alina Habba is out of NJ USAO, but will now be "Senior Advisor to the Attorney General for United States Attorneys," and DOJ is claiming that three different people are running, respectively, the criminal, civil, and administrative divisions of the New Jersey U.S. Attorney's Office.

This is basically the Toronto version of the Deux-Montagnes branch of the REM in Montreal, right?

Both of our cities suffer from provincial mismanagement/sabotage (though Toronto has a much shittier municipal government).
The Finch West LRT being slower than the bus it's replacing might be my personal Joker moment. The army of people who fought to preserve LRTs in the face of a mountain of dishonesty from multiple parties deserved an honest effort to make them actually operate well. Instead, we get Toronto.
