Why do I find mini loaves so delightful? I don’t know, but ever since seeing my first mini cottage loaf in an 80s restaurant bread basket, I’m hooked.
And these are great example of the genre. Mini sunflower/pumpkin seed bloomers ready for breakfast tomorrow!

Dinner! We bought some nice chickpea tapas pies at the weekend so I decided to go with it. Patatas Bravas (with tinned potatoes for speed), Spanish garlic cabbage and pie! #vegan #veganfood

A sure sign my mental health is coming back into equilibrium is cooking. Both the desire to cook and the desire to eat.
Cincinnati chilli. With linguine rather than spaghetti because we already had that.

Oof sorry. We said goodbye to this beauty 3 weeks ago. I’m a wreck.

The saddest of fucking days. We said goodbye to this lovely. Marceline - the scream queen (and she was). Never known more confident cat, her first vet trip ended with the vet saying “I can’t hear her heart because she’s purring so loudly”
She will be very much missed. I HATE THIS PART.

A friend was for cooking so much with Big Vegan Flavour by Nisha Vora that I cracked!
This was amazing. A really good pot of saucy beans and preserved lemon salsa. Home made seeded sourdough on the side. So good and it made me wonder about other beans and spices (like Indian) using the method.

Chips with curry sauce but up to 11. Instant Pot chickpea curry on oven chips.
I seasoned mine with lime juice (to match the curry) and salt. Lee - who is less of a fan of being on the bleeding edge of cuisine, especially on a Monday - had vinegar and said that was good too.

Aaand a homemade homage to 70s cheesecake. In the 70s, in the UK we didn’t have baked cheesecake, what we had is a Digestive base, some sort of powder that mixed with milk to make a goo and a fruit layer (usually cherry but sometimes the exotic blackcurrant).
This is that, but vegan!

Ahem, anyway. I decided that what it really needed were cheese/Kalamata biscuits. So I made them (yes, I am medicated this evening thanks for asking).
When I tell you, the cold sharp soup against the warm, savoury biscuit. Fucking heavenly!

These came out great. @isachandra.bsky.social Vegan Brunch bagel recipe with 1/2 cup water and the yeast replaced with 3/4 cup (approx) sourdough starter. A 12 hour rise initially and 3 hours once formed. Added 2 tsp soft brown sugar to the boiling water.
Closest I’ve made to a Brick Lane beigel.
