Having devilled kidneys for breakfast. Think I might be turning into @vizcomic.bsky.social’s Victorian Dad.

Finally got round to @dorianlynskey.bsky.social’s excellent history of the ways mankind has been convinced the world will end. First three quarters of the book; weirdly optimistic. Last bit; “Oh my God! What are we doing? We’re all going to die!” #conflicted

Excited to report that Hidden Food Tours is on The Food Programme on Radio 4 this morning. The awesome Sheila Dillon came on our Melton tour last month, & the episode is about #foodtourism. Probably features me whanging on about pork pies. Tune in at 11! (I will post the Listen Again link later)

Spent the last few evenings listening to the Blood & Fire records I got when putting a ‘40 years of Jamaican musical independence’ together for R2 a few years ago. I know Mick Hucknall is a bit of a twat, but for funding these rereleases he gets quite a few ticks in the ‘credit’ column.
