If the government were serious about "hard choices", they wouldn't be attacking the most vulnerable people in society. They'd be going after the wealthy and the powerful.
At the start of a New Year, I feel grateful, even blessed, for the life I and my family enjoy. But I regret the times that I don't speak out for others who are denied a voice.
