Mom wanted to go to the local bookstore the night before we left, so we did just that. Downtown is nice here, but parking can be a bit tricky with my pickup. Took their car, and wound up with two books for Christmas presents for me. It's a charming store, truly.

Kinda wild seeing a printout of next year's calendar showing when I will work and won't. 12 hour shifts mean that in a 2 week period I will be at work 4 more hours than now, but I will only work half the year basically. I love that.

The nice thing about not switching my main days off for the 12 hour shifts, is I won't have to work on my birthday in January. That day is usually fucking frigid, so thats really the main reason for loving not working.

Woohoo, had a meeting at work today and my craft goes to 12 hour shifts starting January 4th. I get Sunday Monday Tuesday and every other Wednesday off, working 6am to 6pm. Looking forward to it!

Working a 12 today and tomorrow, then I think I'm done with overtime for the rest of the year, as far as I can tell. Then early January we switch to 12 hour days, I'll switch my weekend, and have more days off.

Dusted off some of my Cowboys stuff last night. Threw on my old school hoodie and am reminded that I should go through my colder weather stuff. Hoodie is big now that I've lost weight, so I might have some stuff to donate that someone could use. A weekend project!

Holy Hell, I actually get to look forward to something at work. Sometime in January, second week probably, my craft is going to 12 hour shifts. Looking forward to those longer weekends!

Took a sick day to go to the eye doctor for my 6 month check in. After working 19 straight, it's been nice having these 3 days off, and today is paid. Gotta love it.

Had one moment of remembering how life reflects back at a person when they actually go out into it. I don't often go out in public for things other than errands, so going for some beers after work the other day was nice. Definitely helped that the brewery we went to had hints that it was more

The extra four hours today are looking light for train traffic which is nice, but that means the old fucker working afternoons will want to talk to me, so it's not a fair trade.
