Reminder, since May December is now streaming, that Todd Haynes's body of work is as rich and idiosyncratic as that of any American director of the last 35 years, and that this is a masterpiece. In some ways Haynes is our Almodóvar but comparisons sell him short; he is entirely his own thing.
