Thanks. Actually noticed this a while after posting. A few people have spotted the mistake by the author

But that’s been over shadowed by the scale of abuse + toxicity in the comments here, + the irony of Bluesky users saying X is so toxic but not seeing how Bluesky appears no better in this thread

There’s granular control: get notified by everyone, only those you follow, or turn alerts off.

Repost and like alerts have been expanded, but some accounts can block being tracked.
