Social prescribing connects people to local, non-medical services to improve their health and wellbeing. This is a powerful approach and helps to address the root causes of health issues, reduce social isolation, and empower people to manage their own wellbeing.

So we were proud to join the National Academy for Social Prescribing yesterday and to endorse the latest report calling for a 10 year, England-wide fund which combines public, philanthropic, and private contributions, to provide long-term support for local communities and social prescribing.
