If you like music and are looking for community, I highly recommend finding a bluegrass/folk circle. Across life these have been some of my favorite outlets for playing and listening. It doesn’t matter whether someone is just starting or is at expert level – all are welcome and part of the music.

When teaching Political Philosophy I sometimes take a moment to sit with John Rawls’ lecture notes. This line on Hobbes always stuck with me: “…what I think is a dreaded way of thinking about society which almost might be true.”
