A lot of people hate XG. But the eye test couldn't be more in line with the data. Some of your stats on take ons and giveaways were alarming. Think we have to find a way to get some combo of Malen, Buendia, Sancho and Elliott into the team more regularly. Probably Maatsen too. Will just post this 2

Interesting pattern to city away games this season. Strong start before allowing opponents back in. Low chance creation so the result depends on those one or two moments (which is a bit ominous considering Haaland and Watkins goal scoring form)

I think this was the most pronounced 4222 we've seen yet? Tho I was reminded he played that in his very first game with Bailey and Watkins up top.

I agree he needs a break for how benefit and the team's. I don't agree his poor form is overblown. He can barely do anything right. But I reckon he will keep playing. Don't see emery playing buendia and Elliott. And sancho probably isn't ready to start yet.

I think you're overstating the degree of risk in terms of uefa punishments per this athletic article. Also frankly if it's going to damage us so much in the prem it's probably worth taking a uefa risk

I keep hearing some say that Emery always drops off in season three. I was sceptical so asked chat gpt to do me a chart. Its also added info on cups and league placing when he left mid season

Decent result. But on another day thats two or three nil. Rogers was absolutely awful again. When you're out of form play the simple ball.

Transfermarkt have Jackson playing almost all his villareal football at centre fwd. I don't see how it would work w him and Watkins personally and given how tight our finances are I really struggle to see this as a priority

Feel your analysis suggests it was simply a drab goalless draw. But that first half perf was similar to villareal. Very lucky not to be a couple down.

Yeah but it's the width on the right I'm unconvinced by. We were at our best w Bailey offering real width in a 325 set up with the ball. The other lot play more narrow, with Cash getting fwd more. But he lacks the skills you want there. Eg look at our chart on this. It was so left dominant last ssn

Here youve got a) a weak defensive line and then the striker just eases Pau off the ball and should score and then b) like man city away he's just not aggressive enough box defending

I think it's a combo of some familiar issues plus we're now pushing both full backs on more. But the screenshots I took here illustrate my concerns. The gap between Konsa and Pau is just too big here and they run straight through it
