I keep forgetting the Craft Sequence!

I love it when a band knows their lane and their lane is making silly things well.

I usually agree with @willoremus.com but I'm in your camp on this. Block lists are a substitute for centralized moderation and if the goal is to decentralize content moderation decisions then you have to live with blocklists and other tools like that.

Those are the members you know you have to deal with no matter how bad their policy takes are. The best you can do is work with local orgs to pressure them to rethink their positions. I once heard about congressional staff that found a lost transcript for a graduating high school student.
