This won't be enough--a lie can run around the world before the truth has got its boots on--but it's an important start. You (the outlets in question) have endangered people carelessly, for clicks. Do what you can to undo it.
any outlet that reported the “pro-trans ideology on bullet casings” thing owes the public an apology and an explanation

if you are serious about turning down the temperature, start by showing some shame and regret for your role in turning it up in the first place by allowing yourself to be played

Sometime Sunday night or Monday morning, someone tore down our pride flag. Today, a better, brighter colored one is back.

I was rooting for destroyed military equipment during Prigozhin's drive to Moscow. I'm reminded of this as I watch Trump v Elon - more open verbal hostility but so far an absence of military hardware. Will Trump ask himself "what would Putin do?"

Lexington, Concord, and Menotomy - Lexington was an accident, Concord a skirmish, the Battle of Menotomy was the bloodiest part of the "Battle of Lexington and Concord."

Looks like Wall Street woke up and realized that the trade war was still happening, just on a slightly smaller scale.

Trump retreats in his tariff war with the world. He is now to fight only China.

However, I think the markets maybe over reacting in the positive. A trade war with China is still bad, and we now can't expect any goodwill or support for the rest of the world.

Yes, this is about right
Every day is a battle between “holy shit, everything is falling apart—I need a little treat and to enjoy myself while I can” and “holy shit, everything is falling apart—I need to spend absolutely NOTHING, cancel all subscriptions, and prepare for the worst”

We are here:
"Gleichschaltung. The Nazi term [meaning] “coordination,” is when they use legitimate authority to illegitimately align independent institutions - forging an obligation to the leader rather than the constitutional state."

Beware the one-party state:
The parties that remade states and suppressed rivals were not omnipotent from the start. They exploited a historic moment to make political life impossible for their opponents. So support the multi-party system and defend the rules of democratic elections.

Defend institutions.
It is institutions that help us to preserve decency. They need our help as well. Do not speak of “our institutions” unless you make them yours by acting on their behalf. Institutions do not protect themselves.

Do not obey in advance.
Most of the power of authoritarianism is freely given. In times like these, individuals think ahead about what a more repressive government will want, and then offer themselves without being asked. A citizen who adapts in this way is teaching power what it can do.
