Ah yes and he'd be able to impose martial law so well with the army that wasn't getting paid.
You also have to consider that there is nothing Trump wants more than violence so that he can start the spiral down to martial law. Starving people greatly increases the chance of that happening.

I mean a huge portion of that is the Democrats compromising on the economy for the last 30 years. If one side holds firm and the other is constantly bending the same way, then most people intuit that the former has the right idea and the latter knows it.
And polls will continue to show like 50% of the public trusts Repubs more than Dems on the economy LOL. This country is cooked because we're hostage to the dumbest most anti-American pieces of shit in the world.

They don't feel like the need to justify themselves. We get an explanation for rocket after he's been in 4 other movies and it's as a character piece
Gunn has a talent of making Very Comic Book movies that don't carry the usual sins of the genre. No lore dumps, no tedious exposition. Just heart and action. I watched it today too and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It's thin in places but so economical I forgive it that.
