And Republicans only win when Trump is on the ballot, which he won’t be again.
"We won't have free elections again" is I think unhelpful because it's unlikely to be true. Elections are administered by the states, which are uneven levels of bad-to-good, and just can't all be rigged. You just can't analogize Hungary (pop 10m) with the US (pop 330m).

This is where I’m at. It doesn’t change the outcome, but Dems overperformed compared to other incumbent parties. We’re going to wax them in 2 years; just gotta limit the damage until then.
These takes along with the media environment claims are using the wrong counterfactual.
Look how incumbents performed worldwide - Dems outperformed just about everyone. They did a good job but were facing incredibly strong headwinds.
