Anyway, that job was miserable, I got super depressed doing it, quit too work in a bar, made more money doing that, then became a newspaper reporter. The legal services place is long, long gone and I never spoke to anyone from there again, so it feels like it never happened.

Anyway, it's incredible what wealthy businessmen who think they're untouchable will put in an email and think it's secret.

I don't remember what the case was about, but two execs were talking via work email about using the company ski lodge and if they would be there at the same time. Not word for word but basically:
"You bringing your wife?"
"No. You?"
"No. Hey, some alone time, just us LOL."

I’ve always felt Bond was like Batman—every new actor resets the clock. New timeline. New dude. Works better as a concept with Bond than Batman too cos there’s no grander universe to tie him to.

I swear this is a Northeast suburb thing - the area is so progressive that garbage people will get really good at masking the worst of their opinions and then the mask will slip at a random get-together and it's like a jump scare and then you gotta stop talking to them ever again.

I do also laugh that right before I bought this I saw a cottage near where I used to live in Galway for sale for $50k USD and joke that I wish I'd bought that instead, but that's too deep a dive into the life unlived.

(I won't pay this house off for another 17 years unless I get that big development deal for the Indestructibles I dream of, but I don't think any financial windfall would justify giving up a mortgage that doesn't risk my partner not being able to stay in the house if I die early.)
