It is very good to have the Taoiseach making statements like this but he needs to show leadership on this and make these sorts of statements in contexts where they won’t be buried at the bottom of an article most people won’t read more than half of

It’s a good thing that the department is straightforwardly truthful with the public about the severity of our predicament instead of playing politics with these sorts of reports

Is this bit correct? Are non-departing failed asylum seekers actually counted among the gross immigration total? Won’t some of them have arrived in previous years?

@conorpope.bsky.social I would love to know about these rates cos in our experience Fastway is much cheaper! An Post’s reluctance to deal with businesses has driven many of us to using couriers.
