Both of these things can be true (1) the coalition's decline is good for Australia; and (2) we need a decent opposition. Look to Britain and the success their new Greens leader is having.

As another old bloke I see the Greens vote increasing among progressives, Liberals wiped out as RWNJs go to the Nationals or ON, and ALP reduced to rump (but substantial). But who knows really?
