I've heard the same thing from the med field. Critical machines like MRI's & other equipment are still running on shockingly old OS versions.

Wild to think about, especially given the potential vulnerabilities and risks involved when patient care relies on them. #LegacyTech #MedTech #CyberSecurity

Starting today, I’m #BuildingInPublic, sharing the tools and insights behind how I use #AIforWork.

I've quietly used #AI in ways that amaze people for years, & perfectionism has stopped me from sharing. No more.

Golden anthers erupt from a pussy willow catkin, each stamen suspended on delicate white filaments against absolute darkness. A temporary explosion of floral fertility visible only in extreme proximity, where the boundary between scientific specimen and natural abstraction dissolves. #Flower #Macro

I photographed this rough cut blue topaz last night with my Canon R5!

I created a focus-stack of 20 images with my Canon R5 for sharp details, lit by iPhone's LED.

Happy #WesternMonarchDay! 🦋🌼 Celebrate the journey of the Western #Monarch #Butterfly, which migrates thousands of miles each year to overwinter in California. This species faces many challenges, including habitat loss & climate change, which have led to a drastic decline in their numbers.

Nature's geometry never fails to mesmerize. I photographed a #purple #Amethyst specimen in a way that highlights its hexagonal #crystal structure.

Who else is fascinated by mineral formations?! 💜✨
Are you a rockhound like me too? Let me know below!

Discovering the hidden world of #MountainBluets through my #macro lens at #MountMitchell, NC.

These delicate #flowers reveal nature's intricate design in ways we rarely notice. The beauty of the #Appalachians continues to amaze me.

Two mushrooms grow from the top of a decaying log at #MountMitchell, NC. The ethereal glow from the #LongExposure reveals their beautiful gills, emerald green #moss covering the log, & an azure sky peeks in from the background forest canopy.

Hey Paul, I’d love to be included if there’s space. I’m a macro photographer who specializes in lichens.

Wow Dani, I really love the texture and depth of the detail in this dragonfly's eyes. Really well done.

I particularly like the warm tones as well. I'm always looking at these guys through a colder lens.

Here's a throwback dragonfly I photographed long ago featuring the wing patterns!

It's #TextureTuesday! Nature's textures tell fascinating stories through their intricate details. From weathered wood to lush leaves - each surface has its own tale to share.

What textures are you drawn to in the natural world?

What a fun shell! I saw a snail in the Appalachian Mountains this summer and it was all smooth-snailing for that one too! (oh boy... I'm in pun-mode now)

Here's Part 02 of my #AIworkflow that I described above!

When the whole thing finishes, it combines everything - polished and ready to publish. Then you can save it as a PDF, or copy/paste.

Would you use my #AI process to help your #Photography sharing process on #SocialMedia?

People ask me how I get things done with #AI… This is one of the many ways.

I made this #Photography workflow using custom #AIagents last night. Transmuting my images and thoughts will be a lot easier now.

I’m making access to this workflow available soon.
Interested? Let me know below!

#MossMonday anyone? One of my all-time favorite images I’ve made, is this one. “Komorebi Study 01”.

It’s an image of moss I created when I was studying for my MFA in grad school 10 years ago, while hiking at Eno River State Park, in Durham, NC.

Here’s one that’s following me. Seems like they’re doing the same… Their account is only 2 days old, and they don’t mention permission from artists or @ tag the original artist. Smells fishy to me. 🐟

I'm curious: What about these are important to you? Are they from a loved one, etc.? I'm such a rock nut!

I was outside rock hunting again today and found some cool stones for my polishing, etc.

Thanks for asking, Denise! It was from the long exposure! I used an LED pen light and light-painted the cap with a really low ISO and slow shutter speed.

I made a few layers and blended them in photoshop. I rested my camera on the ground for this angle. Planning to make a YouTue on this sometime!
