Computer programmer from the Pacific Northwest. I miss the old internet. Work hard and be nice.
MacOS Tahoe allows other browsers to grab security codes from Messages. What a huge QoL upgrade.

I am terrible at lumping too many files together in a commit when I spend an entire day debugging.

I can't create a droplet on DO. And I very much need to create a droplet.

It’s been nearly two months since Xfinity’s coax cable was clipped out at the street by a different company laying fiber. I occasionally get a trickle of the interwebs, but most of the time it cuts out so frequently that it’s impossible to use.

Two. Months.

I have dealt with WiFi interference in my audio monitors for over a decade. I’d hear static through them when browsing the intertubes. It wasn’t bad if music was playing, but it was ANNOYING if not. I’d switch audio sources to avoid it.

Today I figured out the subwoofer was the source. 1/x

He is one of my favorite game callers.
At 91, Hubie Brown is calling it a career.

He was not an entertainer, but he desired to be informative. He was an educator.

As the legendary NBA broadcaster prepares to call his final game on Feb. 9, he talked with The Athletic ⤵️

There are many challenging things in life, but none more so than pouring milk from a gallon jug without it dribbling down the side.

Zappos used to be great. Fun app, great filtering, and fast shipping. I don't know if it was the Amazon acquisition, but the website and app are terrible now.

First time visiting the new side of the Seattle Aquarium, and it was pretty cool. Architecturally, it’s quite impressive.

Some company is laying fiber conduit in my neighborhood, but I have no idea who. I would love to dump Comcast and get those screaming fast upload speeds.

Just put some Sunset choc switches on my ZSA Voyager and I'm liking them a lot more than the pro reds (linear). I think I'll leave the linear switches for the keys my pinkies hit, but everything else feels better tactile.

Definitely less misses now that the switches have a little more resistance.

I assume my Github Copilot isn't working because they just announced a free version for everyone and the servers are getting annihilated.

A `.railsrc` file seemed lilke a cool thing thing until I wanted to kick the tires on Rails 8 and kept getting postgres for a database.

The moral of the story is: I'm dumb.

Millenials aren't going to saddle their kids with enormous photo albums when they die, we're going to saddle them with monthly iCloud storage fees.

My wife is out of town, so I’m running the bedtime show for my 9-year-old daughter. It’s out with Harry Potter and in with Coach K.

My dentist's online payment system isn't hooked into the rest of their bookkeeping, so you have to make a payment online *and then call them* to let them know a payment has occurred.

I feel like that could be streamlined a bit.

I smoked some Texas Twinkies today. Jalapeños stuffed with brisket, cream cheese, sharp white cheddar, and onions. Then wrapped in bacon and brushed with BBQ sauce.
