Interesting modelling setup: 10-km downscaled CMIP6 models. Some results, though not always surprising, are clear: heatwaves will worsen, precipitation extremes will become more common. Electricity generation (+DA price) in Europe in May 2025 according to ENTSO-E/Elexon public data. Nuclear generated the 23.3%, wind 18.4%, hydro 17.5% and solar the 16.3%. As usual, a lot of hours (~10%) with negative price in May.

According to the FT, price of beef in US is reaching record highs driven by the drought conditions in the western part of the country. Currently, according to the US Drought monitor in Texas (a large beef producer) at least 52% of the area is experiencing dry conditions (15% exceptionally dry).

Electricity generation in Europe in April 2025 based on the data by ENTSO-E/Elexon. Nuclear generated the 22.7%, hydro 17.7%, wind 16.2% and solar an incredible 13.5% (and don't forget that solar values tend to be underestimated)
