If we can’t win the voters who have opted out of the politics, we cannot build power. Listen to @robflaherty.bsky.social: www.nytimes.com/2025/04/28/o...

Opt-out voters don’t buy what we’re selling — and even if they did, we’d have a hard time reaching them.

The speed with which we’ve gone from them saying, “we will begin a new era of soaring incomes” to “oh, recessions are good, actually” boggles the mind.
New euphemism new dropped via Treasury Secretary Bessent: "Could we be seeing this economy that we inherited starting to roll a bit? Sure ... there's gonna be a detox period."

In our fragmented media landscape, it's tough to get anything like a critical mass of people paying attention to the same thing.

So it's notable that nearly 7 in 10 voters say they're hearing negative news about Donald Trump.

I oversaw HealthCare.gov, Medicare.gov sites 2014-2016 .

Gov’t websites do more than provide critical information to help people — they connect people to life-saving services.

Families and kids will pay a steep price for Trump dismantling the gov’t.

My kid has the flu.

I literally checked CDC.gov this morning for information about this strain.

The only reason you choose to make a public resource go dark is if you don’t care who you hurt.

It's easy enough to understand.

Trump promised the oil execs who supported his campaign that they were getting "a deal" — with tax benefits and environmental protection rollbacks coming their way.

Once this news broke, Zeldin went on Fox News and promised to deliver those rollbacks on Day One.
President-elect Donald Trump's choice of Lee Zeldin to lead the Environmental Protection Agency caught some by surprise — and sent environmentalists and their opponents racing to understand his record.

The choice of Mr. Zeldin, a former Republican congressman of New York, to be the next E.P.A. administrator caught even some of his closest allies by surprise.

In May, Trump told a bunch of oil barons that giving $1 billion to his campaign would be a “deal"—because of the taxation and regulation they would avoid with him in office.

Lee Zeldin, his nominee to lead the EPA, now promises to roll back regulations on Day One.

But Mary is the hero of this movie. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
