your takeaway from a Dodgers world series win should not be "that could've been the Phillies if only for (insert here)," it should be that the gods simply would not permit any other event to occur and there was simply no scenario where any Phillies success would not have been immediately invalidated

my response would be that if you don't air Kimmel you don't air any ABC programming and that includes SEC games and Monday Night Football, affiliates do wield a certain amount of power but if these stations could survive without a network affiliation they'd already be doing it
