I do better with CEOs or other founders who give a lot of autonomy on the what and how, so long as you deliver their why

Not so much that I'm hard for a boss to deal with (I'm stubborn, and opinionated, but that's to be expected of a middle manager imo). But I'm not good at doing things in someone else's way, or responding to expectations that aren't obviously tied to the business.

The motivation is to pump up their GitHub contribution numbers with low effort PRs, because they think it'll help them get a job. Once they get challenged, they don't know enough about the code, so they disappear to find an easier place to drop their slop code.

It's been a bit - summer is tough for me to get reading in, but I finally finished The Dragonlance Chronicles. I read Legends in high school, glad to finally read this one. Loved them - straightforward good vs evil story, lovely characters. 4/5.
